Nevada the Great

Did you know that Nevada is the most mountainous state in our nation? If had asked me that question 6 years ago, I’d have said there’s no way. Little did I know back then, while my husband and I were still living in St. Louis, Missouri (where I was born and raised), that we would soon find out the answer to that question. In September of 2012 we relocated to Northeastern Nevada so that he could advance his career in the mining industry. Soon we were able to see the numerous mountain ranges we truly have in this great State. From the Toana Range near West Wendover, to the Humboldt Range near Wells, to the Snake Range north of Wells, to the Ruby Mountains that are an amazing backdrop to Spring Creek, NV, as well as our largest mountain range--the Sierra Nevadas near the border of California--just to name a few.
Northeastern Nevada is majestic in its own way. We have amazing sunsets that paint a different picture on our hills and valleys every day. The wide-open spaces as you travel across our state provides a great opportunity to refresh your mind and spirit. Elko County is the 4th largest county in the country with approximately 11 million acres of land, providing many opportunities for outdoor recreation. Whether it be hunting, camping, hiking, or riding your ATV, we have plenty of places for you to enjoy the beauty of our area.
